MhEST Provides Re-usable Face Masks to Street-connected Children Households

Mlambe Health and Social Trust (MhEST) is providing and orienting homes of street-connected children in Zomba on the usage of re-usable face masks in the fight against COVID-19.

The charitable organisation is also donating relief items to these households whose children will not be able to access the MhEST Resource Center due to a 21-day nationwide lockdown.

Senior Programmes Officer Spencer Bandawe said: “We have advised these street-connected children to stay with their families while giving them comprehensive support during their time away from the Center.

MhEST also distributed relief items to the street-connected children households

“However, we’re providing temporary 24-hour shelter to some of the street-connected children who are still awaiting re-integration. We believe it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect the vulnerable from this pandemic.”
